Memoir '44: The Invasion of Crete

A six scenario booklet similar to The Vercors Campaign. The scenarios were used in the World Boardgame Championship 2011 and will be published in Q4/2011. Description from Days of Wonder forums: This year's theme will be a unique moment in military history: Operation Mercury, the German invasion Crete in May, 1941 -- the first large airborne invasion in history, where over 15,000 German paratroops and glider troops landed at several strategic points on the island. In addition, it was the first time the British made major use of intelligence gathered from the deciphered Enigma code -- they knew when the invasion was coming. The battle consisted of ten days of brutal, back-and-forth fighting.
