Vesuvius (fan expansion for Age of Steam)

Age of Steam - Vesuvius is a free print-and-play expansion for Age of Steam, designed for 2 or 3 players. You are engineers around the years 60-80 AD, building the Roman road network around the Bay of Naples, and also assisting building the great aqueducts throughout the region to link towns and cities to the fresh water supply from the aquifers at the top of the various mountain ranges. Manage your Denarii effectively to impress the emperor. But beware: At some point during the game, Vesuvius may erupt, destroying some of the nearby roads and cities! Normal Age of Steam rules apply, with the following main changes: Blue cubes represent Water from Aquifers, and can be delivered anywhere (except other aquifers), but reward money, not income. Turn Order Pass is replaced by Aquarius' Bonus, which allows a 3rd delivery, which must be water. Vesuvius erupts if it ever runs out of water on the hex, "destroying" a number of tiles in the wind's direction. —description from the designer
