Terms of Use

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Roundup Games platform at roundup.games ("Platform"), operated by Roundup Games ("we", "us", "our").

We wrote these Terms to be clear and fair. If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Platform. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules, evade blocks, or manipulate reputation systems.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion:

Your profile and personal data are removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

Session history and attendance records may be retained in anonymized form to preserve data integrity for other participants.

Active subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the current billing period.

Community Conduct

Roundup Games exists to bring people together around real tables. To keep the community safe and welcoming, all users must:

Treat all members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and threats are strictly prohibited.

Be honest in your interactions. Do not misrepresent your identity, experience, or intentions.

Honor your commitments. If you sign up for a session, show up — or cancel with reasonable notice. Persistent no-shows affect your reliability score and may result in restrictions.

Prioritize safety. Report concerns about other users through our reporting tools. We take all reports seriously.

Do not use the Platform for any illegal activities.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, with or without prior warning depending on severity.

Content & Ownership

Your content is yours. You retain ownership of everything you post — reviews, session descriptions, profile information, and messages.

By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content as needed to provide the Platform's services (e.g., showing your review on a game master's profile).

You are responsible for ensuring that content you post does not infringe on anyone else's rights.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, and will endeavor to notify you when we do.

Platform License (Open Source)

Roundup Games is open-source software. The source code is publicly available on GitHub under the applicable open-source license.

Your use of the Platform is governed by these Terms. Your use of the source code is governed by the repository's license.

The "Roundup Games" name, logo, and branding are not licensed under the open-source license and may not be used without written permission.

Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed through Paddle.com.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Limitation of Liability

Roundup Games is a community platform. We facilitate connections between players and organizers, but we do not organize, run, or supervise individual gaming sessions.

You participate in sessions at your own risk. We are not liable for the conduct of other users, the safety of physical venues, or any incidents that occur at in-person events.

To the fullest extent permitted by German law, our liability for any damages arising from the use of the Platform is limited to cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you through the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
